Volunteer Spotlight: Abby Mathis
Abby Mathis is a parent volunteer at Nisqually Middle School and Evergreen Forest Elementary. Abby has been volunteering with the district for many years. At Nisqually Middle School, she helped organize the Reflections program (a statewide art competition) and chaperoned the HOSA (Future Health Leaders) Club trip. At Evergreen Forest, she organizes the Giving Tree program, which supports families during the holiday season. She is also a frequent field trip chaperone and special event volunteer. Her favorite thing about volunteering is providing new experiences for children, like field trips and science center visits to school.
