There will a Halloween Costume competition, (school appropriate costumes), 3 on 3 basketball contest, escape room, Haunted Library, obstacle course, cupcake walk and more. There will be concessions for sale and a $5 door fee, or you can bring 5 cans of food. Bring your Chinook student ID. Come join the fun!
If you have family members in the military and want to honor them, share a picture of them for the assembly presentation Send digital pictures to Ms. Day, by November 6th. (firstname.lastname@example.org.) Include your student name and their military rank. (If you have sent a picture in the last two years, we still have it.) It is a great way to honor our Chinook families!
Parent Teacher Conferences for 6th – 8th grade at Chinook Middle School will be scheduled online through Skyward Family Access. Conference time slots will be available for Tuesday, October 29th, from 12:45pm – 7:45pm and Wednesday and Thursday, October 30th and 31st, from 12:45 – 4:15pm. Students are released from school at 12:20pm starting October 28th through November 1st. Parents will need to log into Family Access between Monday, October 14th and Friday, October 25th, to schedule 10 minute conferences with up to 3 teachers. If you feel you need to meet with more than 3 of your student’s teachers, there will be a walk-up/first come, first serve sign-up form by each teacher table.

This week is National School Lunch Week and is an opportunity to recognize the staff who serve our students school lunch (and breakfast) each day. “School meals are critical to student health and well-being and ensures that students have the nutrition they need throughout the day to learn and participate at school,” says Alicia Neal, Director of Food and Nutrition. NTPS has a fabulous Food & Nutrition team. Take a moment to thank your kitchen staff!
The NTPS School Board invites you to a Community Conversation about increasing the percentage of students participating in school- or community-based activities. A panel will kick off the program followed by discussion and questions. October 22, 2019 5:30-7PM at the District Office. Mark your calendars!
Families with Active Duty Military! Federal Impact Aid surveys went home with students the first week of October. Didn't get one? Find them on the NTPS Military Support page. The surveys allow our district to obtain Federal Impact Aid money which supports services for our military-connected students. Please turn in forms by October 18th!
