    1. When is the first day? Mark your calendar! The first days of school depend on your grade this year:
      • Grades 6-12: Wednesday, September 7, 2022
      • Grades 1-5: Friday, September 9 (Family Connections conferences, Sept 7-8)
      • Kindergarten: Monday, September 12 (Family Connections conferences, Sept 7-9)
      • Preschool: Thursday, September 15
    2. Riding the bus? All bus riders must register to ride the bus by August 19th to ensure they have a seat for the first day of school! Registration form & more info >> When will route information be posted? The last week of August, the information will appear in your Smart Tag. Look for a notification when it's ready!
    3. School Supply Lists?
      • Elementary Schools: See the list or purchase one of our supply kits online & pick up at your school office. Elementary School Supplies >>
      • Secondary Schools: Supplies for secondary schools depend on the school. Some schools have full lists (check their website), and some schools only ask for basic supplies (loose-leaf paper, pens & pencils, etc.)
    4. New phone number or email address? Make sure your contact information is current in Skyward (Login to Family Access and check >> Then contact your school office with updates)
    5. Complete back-to-school forms in Skyward
      • Race and Ethnicity Resurvey: Select Ethnicity/Race from the Skyward menu to update or confirm selections for each of your students. Instructions for the resurvey >>
    6. Elementary Student? Families of students in grades K-5 will be invited to Family Connections conferences Sep 8-10 to get to know your teacher and prepare for the new year! Watch for signup instructions from your school at the end of August.
    7. What about lunch money? Lunches are no longer free at all schools this year, but if you qualify for Free & Reduced Lunch, get that application in for free/reduced prices, and waive ASB fees (athletics, and other fees) Instructions for the Free & Reduced Meal application >> (applications open Aug 22)
    8. Vaccines? Now is the time to make sure your students are up-to-date on all vaccines required for school. Learn more on the Immunizations page >>
    9. Get to know your school! Check their website calendar for Open House, Orientations, and other introductory events. Visit the school and walk around outside! School buildings open to the public in August on the dates below:
      • High Schools: Open August 2nd
      • Middle Schools: Open August 8th
      • Elementary Schools: Open August 22nd
