Kevin Gary, Head Coach

Coach Gary has been involved with the sport of cross country and distance running for over 20 years; as a NCAA-2 collegiate & high school athlete, invite race director, assistant coach and head coach with three different high school (Stanwood, Hoquiam, Timberline) cross country and track programs throughout Washington State. He has been a part of the Timberline Cross Country family since 2012 as an Assistant Coach and became Head Coach in 2016.  In his spare time he still competes (for fun) and volunteers at various road and trail races across the country with race logistics and management.  Gary also serves as the distance track coach for Timberline. 

Jeff Birbeck, Coach

Coach Birbeck has been around athletics and Timberline most of his life; teaching PE, weight lifting and health subjects for 29 years; 25 of those years at Timberline. He served as the Head Wrestling Coach for 27 years at Timberilne; which the wrestling program was led by himself and and his father (former teacher/coach at Timberline) the last 48 years. Birbeck is also a member of the Timberline Athletics Hall of Fame which was earned during his high school/college years.  In past years he has competed in several regional half marathons, triathlons and fun runs.
