Professional Biography

  • Welcome to 5th Grade!! I am excited to be your teacher this year! This is my second year teaching 5th Grade at Lydia Hawk Elementary. I am looking forward to getting to know students and familes. For me, it is a great honor to be a part of the learning journey of all my students. I have a Bachelors of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies for grades K-8 from Western Governor's University.

I am originally from Southern California but have lived in Lacey for 13 years now. I have worked in North Thurston Public Schools for the past 10 years. I have two children who have graduated high school here in North Thurston Public Schools and are now beginning their new journey as college students. My husband is a business data analyst, he loves numbers/math, and building things. I love spending time with my family & friends and going on adventures with them. I enjoy reading, cooking, nature excursions, gardening, creative crafts, art, travel, dancing, music, singing, writing and teaching.

It brings me no greater joy than to see students reaching their fullest potential with academics and personal growth. I aim to keep students engaged, motivated with a growth mindset, and meet them where they are so that they can develop the confidence, skills, and knowledge with taking the next steps in their learning. My motto is that all students are capable of success!
