We will still have 3 productions.Fall play production: The Twisted Tales of Poe will be our fall radio play production. Our production will rely on VOICE ACTING. Auditions will be held on Wednesday, September 23 at 2pm. I willpost the link the day of auditions. Performances are scheduled for November 13, 14, 19, 20 & 21 at 7pm.Winter play production: Two productions are under consideration. I am currently checking on royalties. Performances are scheduled for February 19, 20, 25, 26 & 27 at 7pm.Spring play production: Matilda, the Musical (dependent on royalty rights and whether we can stage this before a live audience in a performance group. If not,we will stage a smaller musical performance or combine it with our traditional student spring works production). As a part of this process, students will work on a project to submit to the Guild.Required work times include: December 3-6 & December 11. Please meet in Miss Deneen's room, room NT064. Please bring your signed permission slip.We will see the performance on January 24, 2019. There are only 45 student slots for this opportunity.Here are our following shows for the year. Come see the premiere of 2 student written productions: “Forever” and “The Place Where I Go” by Elizabeth Stoker and Charlotte Perez. Additionally, celebrate and witness student poetry, song, dance and color guard performances. Come see a gallery arts exhibit across a variety of disciplines featuring 200+ works of art created by NT art students.The spring arts show consists of student-written plays, dance, poetry and musical theatre. An art show will be hosted in the lobby and feature student art in a variety of genres.This year's theme is STATES OF GROWTH: PAST, PRESENT & FUTUREMiss Deneen will accept script submissions until March 23.AUDITIONS for the show will be held on APRIL 10. Please understand that we had some snafus in the show that required us to run numbers several times. Our musicians were here to run these problem areas, and we took advantage of this opportunity to fine tune and clean numbers to improve the show. On 11/3, tomorrow, we will rehearse from 2pm-5:30pm. Dress rehearsals will be 4-7 pm Monday through Wednesday, per the calendar. Call time for performances are at 5pm, the shows will start at 7pm, and the shows will end by 9pm. * I will ask students to call you on landline telephones if they do not have cell phone access.
