Chelsea Duvenez

Mrs. Duvenez's Biography

  • Hello! I live in the OVE community with my husband, son (Connor), and our Shepsky (Chance). I love spending time with family and friends, going on walks, hiking, reading, scrapbooking, exploring, and completing house projects (which has come in handy with COVID).

I was born and raised in beautiful Washington. I grew up in Bellevue before moving to Bellingham to go to Western Washington University, where I met my husband. I graduated with a B.A. in Mathematics - Elementary Education and a minor in Psychology. I then taught five years of middle school math before switching to my passion, elementary school. While teaching, I got my M.S. in Elementary Reading and Literacy through Walden University.

This year, I am thrilled to start my fourth year as a 4th grade teacher at Olympic View Elementary! I cannot wait to meet my new students, even though we will be beginning the year virtually!!

Our Student Teacher's Biography

  • Hello Olympic View students, staff, and families! My name is Mrs. Angela Park and I am a teacher candidate through Western Governor's University pursuing my Masters of Teaching in Elementary Education. I live locally in Lacey with my husband and two German Shorthair pups (Buster & Nittany). In my spare time I am an avid hiker, kayaker, cyclist, and general lover of the outdoors. I also enjoy painting, crafting, and pottery.

I lived all over the states while growing up; Texas, California, Pennsylvania, Missouri, and Ohio. I eventually settled in Athens, OH where I earned my B.A. in Criminology and Geographic Information Systems from Ohio University in 2016. Upon graduation, I also commissioned into the US Army as a Finance Officer. I was then assigned to JBLM where I have been stationed for the past 4 years

I am ecstatic to move from instructing soldiers to teaching students in the classroom!  I can't wait to meet everyone (from a safe distance) in our virtual classroom this fall!
