The 2019-20 Federal Impact Aid Surveys will be distributed to all students on October 1, 2019. All active duty parents and guardians are asked to complete the form, sign, and date it in ink. Completed forms should be returned to as soon as possible.
Based on the number of Federal Impact Aid surveys returned during the 2017-18 school year, the district was able to partner with Madigan Army Medical Center to open a school based clinic at River Ridge High School for Military connected students. In addition, the Department of Defense has increased the number of Military Family Life Counselors to be able to serve 10 schools. These programs and resources are made possible based on the number of active duty dependents. We collect this information through the Federal Impact Aid Survey. North Thurston Public Schools also receives federal funds for each student of an active duty service member. Federal Impact Aid surveys are confidential and the information attained allows North Thurston Public Schools to obtain federal funds.
