Paying with a Credit Card?

How do I log in? Use your Family Access login information for the first time.
- When you are assigned a new ID and password for Skyward Family Access, they will initially match with a one-time overnight sync. Change your password in Skyward the first day you receive it so your Payment Portal and your Skyward password will be the same after that first sync.
- If you change your Skyward password after that first sync, the passwords will not match and you need to change your Payment Portal password manually to keep them the same.

Online Payment Frequently Asked Questions
-
Q: What if I change my Skyward password?
If at any time you change your Skyward Family Access password, you will need to separately change your Payment Portal password or they will not match.
-
Q: What is TouchBase?
A: TouchBase is an online payments portal. You can purchase items online, pay for fines and/or fees online, view/print/save your receipts, all from your computer!
-
Q: How do I sign into TouchBase?
A: Visit http://payments.nthurston.k12.wa.us and log into the portal with your Skyward Family Access login (contact your student's school to obtain). For guardians with multiple students in the district, you will see all of your students with your one login. Once you've selected your student, the shopping experience will be specific to that student.
-
Q: Can I use a mobile device?
A: Yes! You can visit the login page directly in your mobile device web browser, or access it via the District website, by using the menu, 'Popular Links' and clicking '$ Pay Online'.
-
Q: Is the District storing my credit card data?
A: No! The District does not store payment data except a receipt of the transaction. All payments are secure and protected using PCI compliant processes and strict security protocols to ensure the data is protected while being processed.
-
Q: What cards are currently accepted by TouchBase?
A: We accept VISA, Mastercard, and Discover cards.
-
Q: How do I add lunch money to my student's account?
A: Once logged in, click the YOUR FAMILY button. Select a student from your list. On the right of the page, select ITEMS AT STUDENT'S SCHOOL then choose FOOD SERVICES. From here you can enter the amount you would like to pay and select BUY. Continue to Checkout, or select YOUR FAMILY in the upper left to add lunch money to another student's account. Food Service payments made by 10:00 AM are available for same-day student use.
-
Q: Is there a way to set up the auto payments when low balance occurs?
A: There is a way to set up recurring payments on a schedule basis. Please follow these steps:
- Select your student.
- Click on Recurring Purchases.
- Click on the Add button at the top left-hand side.
- Select the item in the item drop-down on the right-hand side.
- Choose the frequency such as weekly or monthly.
- Pick a date to start the recurring payments.
- Enter your Credit Card information.
- Click Save.
-
Q: I have a fine on my student's account. Why?
A: The online payments application is integrated with the Financial Services Department and the Student Records system (Skyward) to consolidate information across the district. If there is a fine on your account, certain items may be restricted for purchase until the fine(s) are paid. There are many reasons why your student may have a fine. The most common reasons are:
- A student lost or damaged a library book or textbook.
- A class fee wasn't paid.
- A student damaged school property.
- A student didn't pay a field trip fee, a club due, etc., on time.
-
Q: I've tried to log into TouchBase, but it doesn't work, what do I do?
A: Click here and follow the steps to reset your password and/or confirm your user ID. NOTE: If you change your Payment Portal password, it will not match your Skyward password; you will need to update your Skyward password separately in order for them to match.
-
Q: There is an item my student wants to purchase, but I don't see it.
A: Your school's web store offers many items to parents and students, but there are certain items that may require a form to be filled out, or other handling, or the item is only available at a certain time. Check with your school's office for more information and check back in the web store often for updates!
-
Q: I've signed in, now what?
A: Once you've logged in, you'll see all your students displayed in your student list, including yourself. Your record is displayed so you can purchase using your own account. You may wish to donate to a club/activity!
A. Fines and/or Fees may be present on your student's account. If your student has a fine/fee on their account, you will see a RED notification window — this is your key to look at, and pay, any fines or fees assessed to your student's account. Selecting the VIEW button will display the details specific to your student.
B. ITEMS AT STUDENTS SCHOOL is where you'll go to browse items available to your student for purchase. Once you've selected items in the webstore, you can view/edit your cart, or proceed to checkout.
C. PURCHASE HISTORY is where you can track your purchase history. This allows you to confirm prior purchases or confirm payment was delivered by your student to the building.
D. REPRINT RECEIPTS allows you to print a single receipt rather than your full payment history.
