Student Voice at NTPS
Did you know that students are the #1 source of information about our schools and the district? That's why Student Voice is a primary focus area for NTPS in the year ahead. Superintendent Dr. Deb Clemens and the Board of Directors adopted a policy to appoint Student Advisors to the School Board. Each high school selected a student representative to serve on the School Board, attend meetings and offer feedback.Additionally, Supt. Clemens is creating a Superintendent's Student Advisory Council that will include representatives from each of our schools, from 5th, 8th and 12th grades respectively. The group will meet four times a year and discuss a variety of topics including school culture and climate (compassion), community service, and leadership.Thurston Talk Article: http://www.thurstontalk.com/2016/12/02/north-thurston-school-board/
