Letter from Assistant Principal Harris

  • Tarae Harris Hello Mighty Mustangs!

I am so excited to spend another school year with you as your Assistant Principal!

A little about me... I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas (Go Cowboys! :)). I graduated from Prairie View A & M University, then University of Houston and taught in Houston, Texas, before moving to Lacey. I then taught at Evergreen Forest, became the Dean of Students at River Ridge High School, then returned to Evergreen Forest as Dean of Students. I received my Principal certification from St. Martin's University. My husband and I moved here due to the Army, and stayed because we loved it! We also have a son and a daughter that keep us on our toes :)

One of our main focuses this year, as always, is regular attendance for all students. We say we want all students:

    In School (Meadows Elementary)
    On Time (8:05 - 8:10)
    All Day (8:10 - 2:40)
    Every Day (Monday - Friday)

We will be having quarterly celebrations for regular attenders (no more than 9 absences all year) throughtout the school year. If there is any way we can support you with this, please let me know.

I, along with the entire Meadows community, are here to help whenever we can. Please do not hesitate to contact us. We are not only concerned about academics, our goal is to make our students the best they can be. I look forward to working with you to reach that goal!

    "All Students Empowered and Future-Ready!"

    Sincerely,

    Terae Harris
