The Superintendent's Office

  • The Superintendent carries out policies approved by the School Board, actions taken by the Board, and is responsible for directing the district's staff. The Superintendent provides leadership and guidance for the classified and certified administrators throughout the school district and as such is ultimately responsible for all district operations. 
     
    In North Thurston Public Schools, patrons are encouraged to contact the school or department directly prior to reaching out to the Superintendent for assistance. We believe those directly involved in running our schools and programs on a day-to-day basis are best able to address concerns. If a patron's issue cannot be resolved at the school level, the Superintendent's Cabinet leaders (below) are available points of contact at the District Office. Yet, Dr. Debra Clemens has an open door and is interested in meeting with patrons to listen to concerns and strives for a resolution that will improve our District's operations and the experience our students have while attending North Thurston Public Schools.
