I was born in Atascadero, California and moved several times as a child since my father was in the Army. My family settled in Olympia after he retired. I attended school here in the North Thurston School District.
I always knew I wanted to be a teacher and after attending Central Washington University I was fortunate enough to land a job in the same district I grew up in. After my first year of teaching I got my Masters at The University of Portland. I’ve taught several different grade levels and enjoy so much about each one of them. Currently I’m teaching first grade at the most amazing school with a wonderful team.
I’m passionate about teaching and education. I strive to make learning fun and engaging by using cooperative learning, technology, movement and music. I look forward to seeing my students’ smiling faces every day.
