Eve Wood

Professional Biography

  • My name is Eve Wood and I teach first grade at Olympic View Elementary School. I have been teaching throughout Thurston County since 2001. After earning my Bachelor of Arts, I decided to get a Master's in Teaching, with endorsements in Visual and Theater Arts, from The Evergreen State College. I earned my professional certificate soon after that.
I have enjoyed teaching first and second grade in public and private schools, as well as teaching in looping and multi-age classes.  I use a workshop model for teaching reading, math, and writing. It is important to me that learning be interactive, hands-on, and fun. I love to incorporate music, art, co-operative learning, and technology throughout my lessons.
