As a new employee, you will need to begin by completing your online new hire paperwork through the link that will be emailed to you once you have been hired. Human Resources will contact you to confirm your offer of employment and set a time for you to come in and meet with a coordinator to finish up the rest of the hiring paperwork. At that time a staff member will also take your photograph for your identification badge.
Additionally, all new employees are required to complete New Employee Orientation training online through Safe Schools. This orientation will include a series of mandatory trainings including District policies that will be informative and answer many questions you may have regarding employment with North Thurston Public Schools. You will receive a separate communication from Human Resources with your login and access information to our Safe Schools training. This training is found on our NTPS Staff Intranet
, under Departments > Human Resources (you will need to log in with your staff email to view this site). If you have recently completed this training through Sub Services within the last twelve months, please notify our office when you submit your paperwork. Please note: If you have not been fingerprinted within the last (24) months, proof that you have begun the fingerprint/background check investigation process must be on file with Human Resources prior to beginning your employment. (Please provide us with a receipt from Educational Service District 113.) All employment is considered temporary until completion of a satisfactory background check has been received by Human Resources.
