    In order to help students & their families compare in-class progress with the national Common Core Standards, grades are divided into 4 weighted categories:

    ELA & enrichment classes use a 4 point scale to help parents and students see growth and track progress, assignments are scored on the same scale as assessments. That way if a student earns a 3 on an assignment, it makes a clearer connection between where they are succeeding and with which skills they are still struggling.     CTE Business & Digital Essentials classes

    As a CTE (Career & Technical Education) prep class, the focus is shifted from just learning tech skills to using all six of the ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education) standards: 1) Creativity & innovation, 2) Communication & collaboration, 3) Research & information fluency, 4) Critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making, 5) Digital citizenship, and 6) Technology operations and concepts. In order to help students to start thinking about careers in the Tech industry and taking CTE classes in High School, grades for iTech are divided into 3 weighted categories:
