Our Goal: Stability and Integrity

The goal of Financial Services is to provide funding stability to schools and departments and to improve the integrity of all financial processes. The past few years have seen considerable changes at North Thurston Public Schools. In a period of increasing fixed costs, Financial Services has been instrumental in implementing additional controls and processes to ensure that public dollars are spent appropriately. While we have had remarkable success, the school system continues to face financial challenges. We will continue to assist the Superintendent and the Board in finding ways to provide the funding necessary to meet our goals in the education of students while maintaining a stable fund balance.

Audits

North Thurston Public Schools is audited each year by the state and last year received a clean bill of fiscal health from the State Auditor. The audit report is public information and can be accessed through the State Auditor's website >>
