Professional Biography

  • Teaching science is a career choice that I love. For the past 29 years, I have been lucky  to have had opportunities to work with students of all ages.  My teaching career began at Tumwater Middle School and from there I was fortunate to have  been select as part of  Komachin Middle School's Science team in 1992. In 1996, I transitioned to North Thurston High School. While at NTHS, I taught Integrated Science, Biology, and Chemistry. After teaching science at North Thurston High School for  four year, I was selected to work in the new TAG Programs as a 5th and 6th grade teacher at Pleasant Glade Elementary in 2000.  When the program transitioned to Lacey Elementary in 2004, I was given another opportunity to work with the amazing staff at Komachin as a Science teacher. Now in 2020, I am thrilled to return to the North Thurston High School Science Department and looking forward to being a part of the NTHS Student, Family and Staff Community.  Go Rams!!
