Class Descriptions

Drama
This course will focus on acting/performance fundamentals including creative movement, improvisation, vocal techniques (articulation, expression, and projection), scene work, and monologues.

Improvisation
In this course, students will explore the fundamentals of improvisation (acting without a script). Students will develop storytelling and public speaking skills while building confidence, quick thinking, and creativity.

Playwriting / Directing
In this course, students will create original theatrical performance pieces. Students will learn the key elements of dramatic writing including action, dialogue, and character, and put those elements into practice by directing and performing student work.

Theatre Arts
In this course, students will explore a wide variety of topics related to the world of theatre including acting, improvisation, dramatic literature, playwriting, directing, set/costume design, careers in theatre, and theatre history.
