Do you provide NTPS Transportation?
Yes. Students take the bus route from their residence to their assigned ‘home’ high school (THS, NTHS or RRHS). From there students load onto a different bus that transports them to Envision Career Academy. At the end of the school day, three buses sit outside of ECA waiting for students to load. They transport the students back to their home high school where they will take their regular route home. More information on walking routes and alternative options >>

My student is an athlete. Can my student take sports and attend Envision Career Academy?
Yes. Students can play any high school sport for their home high school while attending Envision Career Academy. The home high school is assigned based on your geographical residence in our school district – either Timberline HS, River Ridge HS or North Thurston HS. Student athletes must keep up their grades and academic progress to be eligible to play sports for their home high school.

My student has an IEP. Can students with IEPs attend Envision Career Academy?
Yes. Currently, many of our students have an IEP. As with all students, once applications are received, we meet with each applicant and their family prior to admission. For students with an IEP, that interview meeting includes members of the IEP team as well.

My student has a 504. Can students with 504s attend Envision Career Academy?
Yes.

Can my student do Running Start and attend Envision Career Academy?
Yes. Students may enroll in Running Start, but Envision does not adjust our course offerings around Running Start schedules.

Can my student take classes at New Market Skills Center (NMSC) and attend Envision Career Academy?
Yes. Students may take classes at New Market Skills Center, but Envision does not adjust our course offerings around New Market schedules.

My student is a musician. We want to continue with high school band/choir/orchestra courses. Do you have a music program at Envision Career Academy?
No. Students interested in taking music classes and programs should attend Timberline HS, River Ridge HS or North Thurston HS.

My student loves high school band/choir/orchestra courses. Can my student take a music class at North Thurston HS, River Ridge HS or Timberline HS, and attend Envision Career Academy?
No. Students must be enrolled full-time at Envision Career Academy, attending full days, 5 days a week.

Do you offer Advanced Placement (AP), honors, dual credit, college in the classroom, or International Baccalaureate (IB) classes or programs?
No. Students interested in these programs can find most of these programs at their home high school (Timberline HS, River Ridge HS or North Thurston HS), and are encouraged to enroll there.

Do you offer credit retrieval classes or programs?
No. But our school district does run a summer school program for all the high schools and all students needing to retrieve credit can take advantage of that opportunity.

Do you offer world language classes?
No. We can offer Spanish through a district digital program called, APEX. Aside from regular check-ins with a staff member, students are on their own to complete these courses. Families who want to attend Envision and who want to continue learning additional languages have also considered other options outside of Envision.
