Genevieve Schooler

Professional Biography

  • Mrs. Schooler graduated locally from Olympia High School, going on to receive her Bachelor degree from the music conservatory at Lawrence University in Wisconsin. She student-taught in Moorhead, Minnesota and spent her first two years teaching 5th and 6th grade beginning orchestra in the Edmonds School District. She has performed with the Olympia Symphony Orchestra and the Cascade Symphony Orchestra. Currently, she performs with the South Puget Sound Community College Orchestra.

    Can assist in:
    • Instrument tuning
    • Minor instrument repairs (fixing bridges, replacing strings, guidance on further repairs)
    • Extra help for any skills your student might be struggling with: note reading, rhythms, shifting, bow hold, vibrato, etc.
    • Extra pushes for more challenging music


    Horizons Orchestra classes will take place weekly through Google Classroom (parents check email for login password).

    Komachin Orchestra classes will take place weekly through Canvas.
