  • Making Dog and Cat Toys

    Thursday, May 23rd, 6pm- 7:30pm come to the South Bay library and make toys for cats and dogs. There will also be chocolate milk shakes, face painting and a drawing for prizes. Please join us as we show compassion to animlals.

  • Annual Multicultual Event

    Our second annual Multicultural Fair was a big hit. Thank you to the hard working planning committee and the families that participated. A special shout out to our STEM teacher, Mrs. M. Richardson and our art teacher Miss Yasui for their hard work writing a grant for funding from the Nisqually Tribe.

  • June 3rd - 80's Music Night

    Choir will be performing 80’s music hits on Friday, June 7 at 6:30pm in the South Bay Elementary Gym. You can dress up in the 80’s outfit and join us; We will be having a costume contest!

  • Rainiers Baseball - Friday, May 10th

    Join friends from South Bay elementary for a night of food, fun and baseball at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma. Rainiers will play Reno and the first pitch will be at 7:05. If you plan to go, get your money turned in by April 12th. For more information look in your child's Thursday folder.

  • Little Free Library

    Have you seen our school's new free library? Located in the main hall next to the gym, there is a shelf full of books for children preschool - fifth grade. Please feel free to take a book and add one if you like. Special thanks to Sarah Vandever, our school's Washington Reading Corps service member and the South Sound Reading Foundation.

  • May is Mental Health Awareness Month

    May is Mental Health Awareness month, and NTPS would like to take the opportunity to share resources with parents, staff, and community to help remove the stigma and start a conversation. Read this article written by a North Thurston student, about mental health from our students' perspective. We as a district are here to help students understand more about mental health, how to access help, and encourage those who may suffer that they are not alone.

    The deadline for this school year's volunteer applications is May 31st! It takes 2 weeks to process applications (which includes a background check), so make sure you get your applications in early enough to help with field trips, field days, in the classroom, and more! Time is running out! FILL OUT AN APPLICATION TODAY!
