Volunteer at Olympic View Elementary

  • We love our volunteers! Your time and talents are at the heart of our district!

    During the 2018-19 school year, NTPS Volunteers contributed nearly 53,000 hours of their time to students! Thank you!

    • Please allow up to 2 weeks to process your application. Expedited applications will only be processed for high needs students that require a parent and emergency situations, at the request of the school principal.
    • Check your spam/junk email if you have not received a confirmation email after 2 weeks.
    • You may begin volunteering once your welcome email arrives.
    • Applications include a background check.
    • You will be asked to sign into a system to track your hours when you begin volunteering.

General Volunteers- Parents/Community Members

  • Want to volunteer in your child's classroom or on a field trip? Don't have a student in the district, but still want to contribute to your neighborhood school?

    • Must be 18+ years old.
    • Applications are good for 2 years.


     

Club or Group Volunteers

  • National Honor Society? DECA? Key Club? Any student clubs or groups within NTPS, contact our Volunteer Specialist for more information on approval for groups.

    • Contact the Volunteer Specialist for the fastest application process.
    • Include club name, advisor, roster, and where you intend to volunteer.
    • Applications are good for 1 school year.


Observations/Student Teaching/Internships

  • Do you need to complete your student teaching/practicum hours? Or would you like to observe at a NTPS school to decide if you would like to become a teacher? Need to complete an internship?

    • Fill out paper application.
    • Return to Alana Bradshaw in Human Resources.


Community Volunteers

  • Don't have a student in the district, but still want to contribute to your neighborhood school?

    • Roles include Reading Buddies, Teacher's Aid, and other community opportunities.
    • Must be 18+ years old. 
    • Applications are good for 2 years.
