1:25 PM ACT Early Release
When Bus Routes (always go by the bus route number, not the bus number) are canceled due to driver shortages, we will send the students affected to curbside for pick up. When a canceled bus is reinstated for the afternoon run, your child will then ride the bus home, unless you have submitted a change. During these times we see a significant increase in traffic in the AM and PM curbside lanes. Please do your best to arrive at the time listed for your oldest child.
We need LOTS of volunteers on Friday, June 17 to help make our school field day a success. Help run fun activities for grade K-2 students in the morning and grade 3-5 students in the afternoon. Sign up to help now! >>
Kindergarten registration for the 2022-23 school year is in progress. Your child must turn five years old by August 31, 2022. Tap on the "New Student Enrollment" link under the Quick Link section above to start the enrollment process. To finalize the registration process you will need to bring in your child's birth certificate, immunization schedule, and a proof of residency to the school's main office between 9:00 and 2:00 pm. We will then give you a Welcome Bag that includes information for parents, summer activities and a reading book for your Kindergarten student.
Due to the complicated master schedule and the bustling atmosphere at student release time, notifying us at the end of the day can sometimes be difficult. We often have classes out on the field, at Specialists, Assemblies, or at a variety of other activities. We ask our families to make transportation arrangements prior to coming to school, write a note stating the arrangements or email us at MESOffice@nthurston.k12.wa.us—be sure to submit it before 1:30 PM. Of course there are situations where a call to change the end of day transportation may be necessary. In this case they need to call the Office by 2:00 PM. We will do our best to notify teachers and students.
