Lacey students have the unique opportunity to have classroom time with a specialist, focusing on a specific activity area and learning in a new environment! The specialist days are rotational, contact your child's teacher if you have questions!

Art
Students will work on art projects and have lessons around finding their inner artist. Media varies, but creativity is nonstop! Keep an eye out for gallery showings in the hallways!

Library
The Lacey library is a special place for learning. Students have lessons on research, spend time finding the perfect book, and other activities to help foster learning on their own. At our school, we encourage reading, and the library is a great place to find something to read!

Music
Music is the focus! Singing, basic theory, and even some instrument practice are on the schedule for music specialist time. Listen for the sounds of Lacey! The General Music program at Lacey supports student learning through engaging in vocal and instrumental instruction, creative movement and folk dance, developing musical literacy and exploring music history.
5th graders get the chance to participate in either Band or Orchestra >> as well as spend time with the music specialist.

Physical Education
Students participate as a classroom in Physical Education lessons in the gym, around campus, and on their own at home! During PE Specialist weeks, be sure to dress to move around!
Expectations:

- Expect to practice teamwork and cooperation skills
- Expect to be successful
