Marching Parades
  • Every Fall, we take a trip to the Leavenworth Autumn Leaf festival.
  • Potential spring parades include:
    • Wenatchee Apple Blossom Festival
    • Port Townsend Rhody Festival
    • Procession of the Species (Olympia)
    • Lacey Spring Fun Fair Kid's Parade (Lacey)
 
Bi-Annual Concert Tours
 
Every two years, we have plans laid down to take the Wind Ensemble and the Jazz Ensemble on a long performing tour to California.  We cycle between two different trips.
 
Trip #1:  San Francisco
  • 5-6 days
  • 2-3 college clinics
  • 2 concerts
  • 1 day in San Francisco visiting Alcatraz, Fisherman's Wharf, bus tour of the city
  • (possible) 1 day at a local amusement park...just for fun on games and rides
  • (possible) tour of the Jelly Belly Jelly Bean Factory
Trip #2:  Disneyland
  • 8 days
  • 3 college clinics
  • 2 concerts outside the Disney parks (en route)
  • 2 concerts inside Disneyland (1 for each group)
  • 2 clinics at Disneyland (1 for each group)
  • 3 days in Disneyland to have fun (with time out for concerts & clinics)
  • (possible) Tour of the Jelly Belly Jelly Bean Factory

Jazz Ensemble Spring Festivals
 
Once in a while, the Jazz Ensemble takes time out of it's busy local performing schedule to travel to a festival.  These have included:
  • Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival (Idaho)
  • Pacific Northwest Jazz Festival (Oregon)
