This page is specifically designed for applicants interested in employment with North Thurston Public Schools.  The new Federal No Child Left Behind (NCLB) legislation requires instructional paraprofessionals to meet mandated standards.  Paraeducators must have a high school diploma or its equivalent and meet one of the following two standards:
 
  1. Possess an Associates or higher degree.
  2. Successfully complete the ETS ParaPro Assessment test
     
    North Thurston Public Schools' instructional paraprofessionals, including the following classifications, must meet the NCLB standard.

    • Special Education
    • LAP
    • ESL
    • Library
    • Health Room
    • In-School Suspension
    • Campus Security
