Stay connected! Lakes Elementary is on Facebook & Twitter
Every year our school conducts a family survey to see how we rate with parents in a variety of areas including leadership, communication and diversity. Please take a moment to fill out this short survey. If you have a child at more than one NTPS school please fill out a separate survey for each. Results will be posted on our website later this year. Thank you!
Join us every early release Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:00pm. Connect Nights are a great evening activity for families to come back to school with your student to access the library, computers and research resources. You’ll be able to check out books with your family, spend time reading and access electronics resources to support student learning. Please join us for an evening of fun and learning!
PBIS- Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports.
At Lakes, we have been reviewing our three rules: Be Respectful, Be Responsible and Be Safe and teaching the students how these rules apply to the different areas in the school. Conflict or disagreement is normal and often happens when children get together. Our goal at Lakes is to teach students several positive ways to deal with these situations. To do this, we are asking students who have a minor problem to try to do at least two of the following ideas: Click "Kelso's Choices" link to find out more...
WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) is designed to engage men, inspire children, reduce bullying and enhance the educational environment at our school. WATCH D.O.G.S. fathers and father figures who volunteer are asked to serve at least one day a year in a variety of school activities. At our kickoff, dads and students learned that through the WATCH D.O.G.S. program, they will have the opportunity to spend time at the school which will help their families as well as the school as a whole.
