South Sound High School Culminating Project
Students at South Sound High School continue to meet the state’s culminating project requirements through successful completion of Career Choices, and specific math components in Independent Living, Community Involvement hours are the student’s responsibility beyond the 3 hour mentorship required for Career Choices.
Requirements include:
· Portfolio(Includes resume, career research paper, personal career inventories, letters of recommendation, mentor evaluation, job search tools, personal money management plan and High School & Beyond Plan.)
· Presentation(Includes a 10 minute oral/power point presentation based on personal career research, mentorship experience and articulation of their 5 year plan. Presentation is evaluated by a staff/community panel, and includes a question, answer and feedback component.)
· Community Involvement (Requires a minimum of twenty hours of volunteer work, job shadowing or mentorship within the community or through service organizations. Service hours cannot be related to family or required legal community service hours. Forms for Community Involvement documentation are available from advisors, Senior Advisor, or from community involvement bulletin board located in the commons area of SSHS.)
