Dear Olympic View Families,
 
Please look for information about this year's chess clubs to come home in the first week of October 2012.
 
We will have a Learning Chess Club taking place during Late October and November on Tuesdays and Thursdays (2:50 - 4:00).
Specific dates are: Oct 25th, Oct 30th, Nov 1, Nov 20, Nov 27, Nov 29, and Dec 11 (make-up day).  
The big gap in November is due to Parent-Teacher Conference Week and teacher's meetings I have to attend.
 
Thank you for a wonderful Learning Chess Club this year.  The students were enthusiastic and really showed the "Eagle Way," with great Respect, Safety, Responsibility, and Cooperation!
 
 
We will have a Tournament Chess Club taking place during December through April on Thursdays (2:50-4:15).
We will meet a couple of Tuesdays (Jan 8, Apr 9) due to Thursday meetings I have to attend.
We'll join at least 2 Saturday tournaments this year and hopefully many students will qualify for and participate in the State Championships in Vancouver, WA on April 20th, 2013.
