Every student upon enrollment is given an account for breakfast, lunch and milk. Each student will have an envelope in their classroom to use to make a deposit into their account. Each morning your student's teacher will take attendance, ask the students to raise their hand if they are having hot lunch and who has lunch money. After roll is taken a student will bring the Money Folder to the office for input into MealTime. MealTime is a program that keeps track of deposits and meals served. When it is time for lunch, classes will line up at the MealTime computer and will proceed through the serving line. If a student has one meal left or less the cook will stamp their hand with a red smiley face to remind them to tell parents they need more money.

Parents can pay by the day, week, month(s) via cash or check made out to MES (Meadows Elementary School). When paying by check please list names of student(s) on the subject line. Our district allows our students to charge two meals with the exception of those students on the Free or Reduced progarm (Ala cart items or extras will not be allowed unless a positive balanceis showing). For families approved for Free Meals, please note that when bringing lunch from home milk alone is not "Free." We do allow ourstudents to have double meals, extra dessert, extra slice of pizza, etc., the only requirement is that they have a positive balance on account.
