    Stephanie White’s kindergarten classroom was abuzz with excitement and lots of green on March 16 as her students anxiously showed off their leprechaun traps to sixth grade visitors.

    Ashlyn Carlson, 8th grader at Chinook Middle School, received first place in the Patriot’s Pen Essay Contest in Washington State. She also placed third at the National level where she received a $7,000 scholarship!

  • Math Center enhances student skills

    When Lizzy, a fourth grader at Evergreen Elementary, starts answering multiplication facts it’s hard to slow her down. She grins as she gets each answer right, while Karen Godlewski, a volunteer at the school’s Math Center, tries to keep up with her pace.

  • Horizons student wins National Art Contest

    Horizons Art Specialist, Amada Lang who was WAEA teacher of the year, entered a few of her students in the WAEA Youth Art month Student Exhibition at the Schack Art Center. Vance Knight, a 6th grader won overall "Best of Show" for her drawing title Vines of Art.

  • Aspire math club takes 2nd at regionals

    Congrats to the Aspire MATHCOUNTS team who placed 2nd at regoinal competition last month at St. Martin's University. Daniel Grimm placed 1st individually and advances to State competition. Good luck!

  • Chinook has fun with math

    On March 14 (3.14), parents, students and staff from Chinook middle schools and feeder schools enjoyed a night of problem solving, computation and fun as part of the 2nd Annual Pi Day Carnival. Activities included demonstrations by the Chinook Robotics Club, as well as a “Pi” walk for baked goods donated by local businesses.
