  • Tradition families can count on

    Lacey elementary school’s annual learning program still packs ’em in after 25 years. About 75 kids and adults turned out for Family Math Night, held at Olympic View Elementary School in Lacey. The event featured scores of activities designed to help students practice problem-solving and prediction skills. Click here to view story in The Olympian.

  • NTHS Advanced Automotive Technology--Not just for Boys!

    Enrollment is up for the North Thurston Advanced Automotive program this year, with twice the number of female student technicians than past years. "It's a historical year for the program with hopefully more great things to come," said teacher Brian Stretch, who has taught the program since 1993 and seen numerous students go on to win state and qualify for national competitions such as the Ford/AAA.
