The Lacey Track Club got off to a fantastic start on our October 5th early release day. The nineteen 5th and 6th graders who signed up for the club were highly enthusiastic and excited to learn about  the various events that make up the fifth and sixth grade track meet.
 
The club was designed to give the students an opportunity to experience the different events and then make a well informed decision on whether to turn out for track or not.  Hopefully through the track club several students will find an event that  they enjoy , spend some extra time working to improve their skills and then be ready to compete in the track meet that takes place at South Sound Stadium on June 1st.  We are planning on having a lot of fun as well as improving our physical fitness during this club time.  Hopefully we will see you at South Sound Stadium in June cheering on the Lacey Huskies.
