Goal Setting & Planning Conference


Prior to the Goal Setting & Planning Conference, the teacher will complete their draft of the Collaborative Goal Setting Template and Planning Conference Interview Protocol.
 
Based on professional judgment and scheduling needs, the teacher's evaluator may split the Goal Setting & Planning Conference into two meetings: one for annual goal setting and one to plan the formal classroom observation.
 
The teacher and evaluator will collaboratively discuss, review, and revise each document during the conference.
 
Teacher responses on the Collaborative Goal Setting Template may be used as evidence of their current level of performance in the following Domain 4: Professional Responsibilities components:
  • 4a: Reflecting on Teaching
  • 4d: Participating in a Professional Community
  • 4e: Growing and Developing Professionally
  • 4f: Showing Professionalism
The Planning Conference Interview Protocol questions are aligned to the components of Domain 1: Planning and Preparation. Teacher responses may be used as evidence of their current level of performance in:
  • 1a: Demonstrating Knowledge of Content and Pedagogy
  • 1b: Demonstrating Knowledge of Students
  • 1c: Setting Instructional Outcomes
  • 1d: Demonstrating Knowledge of Resources
  • 1e: Designing Coherent Instruction
  • 1f: Designing Student Asessments
