PERSONAL &PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY

Hi, I’m Mr. Truesdell. This is my second year here at Nisqually Middle School. I have been teaching and coaching in North Thurston for eight years now. My experience includes teaching math, physical science, life science and P.E. My favorite subject to teach is physical science. I have coached soccer, track, wrestling, and basketball.

I am originally from Redding, California. I have lived in five States and Ireland. Two of my hobbies are hiking and SCUBA diving. I really enjoy being outside as much as I can. One of my favorite places to hike is the Hoh rainforest the west side of Olympic National Park.  Blue glacier provides the headwaters for the Hoh river. (12 feet ave. rainfall)

Another one of my hobbies is going to school! I have attended five different colleges and universities over the last twenty years. While pursuing my Baccalaureate degree, I attended Shasta Community College, Central Texas College, and Hawaii Pacific University. I graduated with B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in management. After six years in the Army, I returned to California and continued my learning in the domains of education, chemistry, math, and geosciences. My most recent educational endeavor has been at Washington State University, Vancouver, GO COUGS!, where I completed a Masters in Education with an focus in Educational Leadership. I am currently pursuing my Washington State principals' credential which is culminating this year in a year long internship.

Thank you for sharing my story, I look forward to teaching and learning with you or your children throughout the year.
