Honors and Awards Night is Tuesday, May 21st at 6:30 pm in the Performing Arts Center.
 
It is time to file your FAFSA if you are planning on attending a 2 year, 4 year or technical college after high school. Be sure to submit your FAFSA application by the college or universities Financial Aid deadline. You can to www.fafsa.gov to start and complete your application.
 
Need help filing your FAFSA? Attend one of the FREE financial aid workshops at SPSCC. For more details about the workshops including dates, times and what to bring go to http://www.spscc.ctc.edu/admissions/funding/finaid.
 
Seniors and Juniors planning on attending a 4 year college or university should register for the SAT test. The test is typically offered once a month. You will need to register for the test about one month ahead of time. To register go to www.collegeboard.org.
 
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
 
Intercity Transit is looking for students to be a member of the Citizen Advisory Committee. Applications are available in the Career Center. The deadline to apply is May 24th. This opportunity is open to students aged 15 to 19.
 
The Hands On Children’s Museum is currently accepting applications for volunteers. The new museum opens this November and there is an even greater need for student volunteers. For more information and to apply go to www.hocm.org or stop by the Career Center to pick up an application.

CareerTREK is a program that helps motivated and committed teenagers and young adults find employment, build job skills, and receive educational training.
