Office of Construction & Design
Our office plans and manages the District's Capital Projects, large and small, and is responsible for the capital fund/budget and Six-Year Capital Facilities Plan. We work closely with OSPI from project conception through final closeout to secure and maximize state funding, as well as ensure compliance with all state requirements. Construction & Design staff also manages multiple teams of architects, engineers, and contractors on a daily basis throughout the projects. Since the passage of the 2006 Bond, this department has been responsible for $130 million in major construction projects, funded by the 2006 Bond and OSPI State Assistance Funds, as well as many smaller projects funded by the 2006 Bond, remaining 1991 Bond funds, and other income.
