PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY
Dear Families,
I am excited for this school year and hope you are too!! I believe you are your child’s first and best teacher and I look forward to getting to know you and your preschooler. We will have many wonderful experiences and opportunities to learn and grow in the days ahead!
I am thrilled to be a member of the team here at Evergreen Elementary School that provides outstanding education experiences for your student! I am a 2009 graduate of Lesley University with a BA in Human Development and a minor in Special Education. I also have a BS degree from Abilene Christian University in the area of Corporate Fitness. Before obtaining my teaching certification, I worked in the Carlisle, Pennsylvania Area School District for two and a half years then in Puyallup School District for 3 years as a Para-Educator in several self-contained, special education classes. Since earning my teaching creditials in 2009, I worked on a substitute basis at the elementary level in the Puyallup School District for one year, then as a full time Learning Specialist in the Orting School District at the middle school level. I came to the North Thurston School District in 2011 and this is now my second year of teaching preschool. Preschool has turned into my dream teaching postion. I love the challenges that each day brings with all my little friends!
