I was born in Kirkland, Washington and raised in Bellevue. I obtained my undergraduate degree at Corban University in Salem, Oregon. After getting married and moving to Alaska, we had two children and I stayed home with them. Our family moved to Lacey in 1989 and my third child was born. I stayed home until the youngest was in school full time. At that time I began working as a special education para-educator at Lacey Elementary. In 2006 I obtained my Master's in Teaching degree from City University. I have taught Kindergarten at Lacey Elementary, Evergreen Forest Elementary, and Seven Oaks Elementary. I have taught First grade at Lacey and am now enjoying teaching Second grade.
